luxury accessories brand

Buba London

Buba London, was created in 2002 shortly after Euan McDonald and Lesley Silwood met on the sandy beaches of Goa. Buba, meaning baby in Japanese and Hebrew, is inspired by their love of travel. Their brand infuses styles from some of their favourite destinations – namely Ibiza and Goa - to create beautiful, colourful designs using fine leather and geometric, embroidered patterns and embellished with semi-precious stones. Each of the handbags, cuffs, necklaces and earrings is designed by Euan and then brought to life by Delhi artisans who have mastered their technique over generations.

Hand-stitching is a craft that’s increasingly replaced by the cheaper alternative, machines.  Buba London, are helping local communities to grow and to keep their traditions alive. As each piece is hand-made with love to order no two patterns are the exactly the same. Every piece is unique and has its own story.

Their accessories can be found internationally at Sandy Lane Barbados and One & Only resorts, online and at our flagship boutique store in East Moseley. Euan and Lesley also offer a bespoke service to create bags and jewellery for special occasions.  We invite you to come and find your Buba and, whether it's bespoke or from our main collection, each piece is always original.

Lesley’s passion for interior design was ignited after a disastrous flood in 2013 which left her family rebuilding their home from scratch.  In its final stages, Lesley’s interior design skills came to life. In her kitchen, she crafted cupboard doors from salvaged floorboards of their previous home.  In another, cupboards are made from an old church pew.  Throughout their home furniture has been up-cycled from car-boot sales, antique shops - even Ikea - transforming something ordinary into something distinctive. In addition, their home has Indian influences throughout with stunning pieces they have collected from their travels over the years.

Since its completion, Lesley has built a portfolio of clients to transform their homes into a personal sanctuary.  She has an unquestionable talent for design and a natural appreciation for beautiful furnishings.  Lesley knows how to use space, natural elements and lighting to create the ideal atmosphere for your home.
